> so first off ive been here in paysandu for the past six months, but now im packing up and leaving for a town called taucurambo. ill be there probably for the next six months as well. im super excited but super sad all at the same time. paysandu has been a challenge but ive learned to love so many people here and now that its time to go i dont know how ill be able to leave. this week has been nuts though. my companion from chile early in the week started complaining about back pain, which grew and grew until we went to the hosptial and it turned out he has an infection in his spine. they had to operate, but when they operated the anasthesia didnt take, and he felt the whole operation. luckily here in paysandu we have a missionary couple named the hatchs from utah, and they have looked after him ever since, i honestly dont know what we would have done if they werent here to help us. ive been going out with members of the ward to keep working and visiting people. General conference ( every six month the leaders of the church have a world wide broadcast in which they speak to the members of all the world) was amazing, and i loved listening to it. we had what we call 'the gringo room' where all the american missionaries went to listen in english while the rest of the members watched in spanish. i say my goodbyes to all the people yesterday and until now havent cried. ive been super close, but i hate goodbyes. so thats my week this week, i love you guys, and hope to hear from all of you.
