General Conference

this week has been fantastic, and as always i am very excited to begin the new week by sending out a group email. i hope it finds all of you in peaceful and content content. i feel very peaceful and full of hope after spending the past weekend listening to General conference. We also had interviews with the mission president, and as always it was amazing. I feel so grateful to be constantly surrounded by such good men. Elder bedke and I spend almost every night up far too late having "real talk". its so nice serving with my friend. So listening to general conference was a blast. living in a spanish speaking country, it was obviously transmitted in spanish but all the american missionaries we in a small little room huddled around a t.v SO EXCITED to see the leaders of the Church speak to the world. The message that touched me most was the principle that God blesses man in tune with our desires. if we desire evil our life will be filled with evil, if we desire good, our life is filled with good. The point being that we are to train our desires, to learn to desire what God desires, and to accept His will. this life is the time for man to prepare to meet God. Dont procrastinate! The president of the Church is named Thomas S. Monson, he spoke various times throughout the conference, but what i wish to state before all of my friends and family are two of my deep convictions. 1. Christ Lives. 2. He has called prophets and apostols to guide His church as he did in ancient jerusalem, and i have a testimony that Thomas Monson is His prophet in our day. i love all of you, thanks for reading my emails, and for writing me back, your stories, pictures, and letters of love help me to continue strong. love, elder myers
